Having a smart phone is important for development. Certainly, there are emulators, but they don’t really capture the user experience. Windows Phone 7 is coming soon, and this contest may provide the phone I need to work on the mobile version of the site.
I am actually looking forward to Windows Phone 7, as it presents as significant opportunity to develop our mobile site from scratch. I’ve not tested it yet, so I cannot say much about the OS; however, the release of the OS itself represents the opportunity. Our executive leadership is very familiar with Microsoft products, thus the release of a new Windows Mobile OS has the potential to drive their interest in a mobile version of the Web site.
